Next Perfect Day is a city pop band playing Japanese and Korean city pop tunes from the 1980s. A mixture of different Western music styles such as disco, R&B, funk, soft rock, and jazz fusion, city pop brings a sense of nostalgia and longing amidst a busy city life.
Formed in 2023, the band is led by Jay Yoo (guitar), with Hyeonsu Yun (bass), Jon Catanus (drums), Minh Hoang (keyboard), Bonggyu Song (vocal) and Cecilia (vocal). Next Perfect Day aims to offer an authentic but fresh take on the Japanese and Korean classics for a new generation of urban audience.
