Grooveyard is a high energy funk, r&b, and beyond band under the leadership of guitarist Michael Occhipinti and singer Lester McLean, with Paul Neufeld (keyboards), Doan Pham (drums), and Nikku Nayar (bass). The band’s set list is rooted in old-school funk and soul that Grooveyard uniquely makes its own while also drawing on reggae, dance music, ‘80’s new wave, classic rock, and mash ups with hidden gems. The band is all about getting people grooving and moving and having a great time, which is why they’ve been a staple of Toronto’s music scene for over two decades.

Expanding on their signature sounds, their latest release "EPHEMERA" is a sonic odyssey that pushes boundaries, blending bizarro riffs, post-rock freakouts, and synth-heavy head nodders into a mesmerizing fusion that transcends traditional genre labels.
