 With over a decade spent playing music professionally, Alex Laurie has played many roles in both the forefront and as support for a wide range of projects. He has produced records for both himself and other artists, toured the country as a guitarist for an indie rock band, created ambient soundscapes for a number of dance works, and played more cover gigs than he can count. With no fixed genre or instrument, Alex prefers to let his entire love of music and collaboration guide his every decision to a place that feels boundless and natural. His most recent solo releases illustrate this best, blending acoustic singer-songwriter folk with twists of shoegaze, jazz, soul, and musique concrète. All this considered, he has recently decided to refresh his artistic voice with a re-introduction to simplicity. His solo performances at the moment find him channelling his work through voice and guitar alone; the instruments where he made his start.
