LOWLIGHTERS
2.30 - 3.45

Let's say you want to build a band.First imagine a towering, legendary fgure who plays every song like it came to him in a fever-dream. Kevin Breit rides his guitar like an out-of-control shopping cart from hell. He will incant strange and beautiful melodies as hecareens through the din. Alchemy for your ears. Maybe there should be a tuba in the band. Tom Richards knows how to make it work - has seen his share of close calls: knows when to dig in. The thing about a bull in a china shop is how great it sounds and how exciting it is when it's happening. Also - makes a good story for later. Lowell Whitty isthe bull And the china shop. This world can be too safe: Just when you think you'll never feel again, L-Dub knocks on the door to your heart. Our featured guest for this show is Jaron Freeman-Fox. Some say that in order to string his bow he chased a wild stallion across the desert for two weeks before subduing the wild beast with a haunting love song. During Y2K, when the world was plunged into darkness for a month, Jaron ran out of notes to play on his violin. This forced him to add an extra string to his fddle and the world has never been the same since.
