The Red Hot Jazz Explosion is a dream, a memory of a crossroads between the roadhouse and the night club, the honkytonk and the jam session. It's American music, from Guanajuato to the Yukon. Willie Nelson said 'between Jazz and Country, it's a two-way street.' We wave down passerby's on that highway looking for a hitch, sharing love, laughs, and language. A band can only achieve musicality through trust, humor, and a deep lens. We are up on stage convinced that music was once for dancing, that there's lyrics in an instrument, and that live music is supposed to include and entertain everyone.
