Digging into her niche repertoire of reefer tunes mainly from the early jazz age… think smoky speakeasies and underground jazz clubs and a little mariguana cha cha cha. At the root of Linda’s musical inspirations are the pioneering musical women who might be described as sassy, saucy, sexy… definitely trailblazers in their own right. These early jazz’n blues vixens may be well known to vintage vinyl jazz collectors but mainly still unsung and obscure to many. In any case, Linda will be highlighting her own unique blend of – vintage jazz, blues, swing and beyond!

WAGNER PETRILLI 4TET

Wagner Petrilli discovered his passion for the violão (Brazilian guitar) at an early age, and grew up apprenticing under several masters of the instrument in São Paulo. In 1998, Wagner moved to Toronto and quickly became a sought-after guitarist in the city’s Brazilian music scene. Since then, he has travelled across Canada performing with a number of artists and ensembles, and has been commissioned to compose and write lyrics for an array of projects. In 2014, he released his solo CD entitled Confissão, which received much critical acclaim and was nominated for World Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Awards.
