We are thrilled to invite the Forró community of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area to our lively Forró afternoons at Drom Taberna, happening every Sunday from July 28 to August 18 at 2 to 5 PM.

This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms of Brazilian culture and music, right here in our city.

Join us for an afternoon filled with the enchanting beats of Forró, featuring performances by Maria and The Band, along with special guest appearances by local musicians. For three hours, let the music transport you to the heart of Brazil, surrounded by one of Toronto's most welcoming and popular venues that combines delectable food with a deep love for music.

Jessica Spurrell writes winding, contemplative folk songs. Her recent record, A Blessing, A Pearl, explores adolescent heartache through striking prose and eclectic arrangements. Jessie Gosling’s music is bright, honest, and layered with warm vocal harmonies. She pulls strongly from the folk genre with country, jazz, and rock influences. On August 11th, join these long-time friends as they come together for an acoustic evening of original music at DROM Taberna.

Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter Natasha Roldán travels with her voice through the landscapes of Latin American folk with an alternative touch. Her new record 'Ya No Estoy Aquí’ shares stories about migration, revolution, and love. In 2024 Natasha was nominated for Album of the Year and Female Artist of the Year at the Latin Awards Canada, and in 2023 she was selected as one of RBC’s Music Launchpad and Small World Music Incubator Artists. Her record release celebration included a sold-out show at the Small World Centre in Toronto, a full-house showcase at RPM Records in Colombia and a performance on Colombia’s National TV , RCTV.
