Ivetta Melkumyan is a Mississauga based singer/pianist, with a Master Degree of Piano Performance from Armenian State Conservatory. She is a versatile and dedicated musician with vast interests in different styles and genres. Influenced greatly by Shirley Horn and Kandace Springs, Diana Krall and Sangah Noona. Her music is intricately detailed and when paired with mellow, relaxing yet expressive singing is a delight for lounges, cocktails as a background or a focal point.

Jacob’s Ladder is a Toronto-based indie band made up of four friends. Melissa, Cam, Serena and Kieran met when they were younger and bonded over their love for folk music. Playing mostly original music with some beloved covers, Jacob’s ladder loves playing around the city. They have just released their first single “Sickness” and can’t wait to play/ record more music.

Compared to the likes of Norah Jones and Joni Mitchell, her songs and soundscapes are a kaleidoscope dream of contemporary folk, where songwriting meets world jazz. Known as front woman of Emily-Rose & The Wild Things, half of songwriting duo Little Clouds and global prog fusion outfit Shark & Fox, her solo sets weave her voice together with piano, synths and accordion.
