Matt Smith is a soulful trumpeter and vocalist based in Toronto, Ontario. With a passion for jazz deeply rooted in the style of legends like Louis Armstrong; Matt brings a refreshing blend of tradition and innovation to Toronto’s vibrant music scene. Matt can be found performing with integral Toronto groups such as Big Smoke Brass, and the Juno-winning Sattalites. He also preforms every Monday night at Steadfast Brewery with “The Taproom Gang”, a traditional jazz band with a focus on 1920s and 30s repertoire.
