ANDDRE & THE REFLECTIONS

Anddre & The Reflections are a six-piece indie-folk/rock collective hailing from Southwestern Ontario. Formed by members from Brazil, Panama, Turkey, and Canada, Anddre & The Reflections deliver a diverse repertoire rich in synths, saxophone, and six-part harmonies, with a dynamic sound perched comfortably between the likes of Fleet Foxes and Sonic Youth. 

Anddre & The Reflections released their debut self-titled EP in October 2023, hailed as a “kaleidoscope of richly rendered sounds and styles” (Tinnitist), and supported in-part by the London Arts Council’s Community Arts Investment program. Anddre & The Reflections have also previously showcased at Indie Week’s VenueXVenue (2023), Folk Music Ontario (2023), and the Live from the Rock Folk Festival (2023). 

MARK HUDNEVAD QUINTET

The Mark Hundevad Quintet is a progressive jazz ensemble featuring some of Toronto’s top jazz musicians including Cuban trumpet sensation Alexander Brown, saxophonist Shawn Nykwist, Sam Heineman on piano and drums, James Thomson on bass and Mark on drums and vibraphone. Mark has studied with Dave Holland, the legendary bassist for Miles Davis and has also studied and performed with Kyoto Award winning jazz innovator Cecil Taylor. Mark co-led the ensemble Wild Canada with American jazz bassist Juini Booth who performed with Sun Ra, McCoy Tyner, Pharoah Sanders, Art Blakey, Tony Williams and Thelonious Monk. In the late 80’s Mark cofounded the jazz scene at Toronto’s Rex Hotel with saxophonist Jim Heineman who he performed with for over 35 years and has recently performed with Stevie Wonder’s bassist and musical director Nathan Watts.

15$ cover after 10pm, with all proceeds going directly to the musicians performing.

DONNE ROBERTS

Singer-songwriter/guitarist Donné Roberts was born in Madagascar. Now based in Toronto, Canada. He’s earned a matchless reputation for his compositions, strong catchy melodic lines that makes his audience sing along with him during live performances, strong message on the lyrics, also the excitement and the high energy and professionalism of his live shows. 
Donné Roberts is a passionate performer. When he hits the stage, he carries with him an energy that immediately exhilarates the crowd even if they've never heard his music before. Donné performs mainly in Malagasy mother tongue from his birthplace of Madagascar. Yet this never proves to be a barrier to the audience, providing living proof that music truly does transcend languages.
Donné came to wider recognition in Canada after he released his albums “Rhythm Was Born”, “Internation” and the most recent release “OYA” was released in October 2021. Also got recognitions for his contribution as one of the members of the African Guitar Summit project, which won a JUNO Award in 2005 and was nominated for another one in 2007 and also as a former original member of Okavango the African Orchestra that won a JUNO Award while he was a member in 2017. Also known as one of the African musicians in Toronto who’s been invited to collaborate and co-write songs with various Canadian musicians such as the Sultans Of Strings, Amanda Martinez and more.
