RAMAGE DUO

Ramage duo brings diverse influences from around the world to their tasteful playing. With violin, guitar, oud and voice, you will hear tunes from the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, France and Québec, as well as some original compositions. The duo is made up of Laetitia Francoz and Joshua Greenberg, who are both very active members in the Montreal music scene, playing in a plethora of different groups. However, it is when together in this format that they enjoy the freedom to play the music that they love the most. To hear them in concert is to embark on a musical journey that will uplift and inspire.

DONOVAN LOCKE

Donovan Locke is a jazz vocalist and entertainer who is passionate about performing and inspiring others by ensuring honest and fun performances. Donovan believes that an audience will always respond to an honest performance. 

Donovan has performed at many venues across the city of Toronto including Drom Taberna, The Emmet Ray, Cafe Pamenar, The Cameron house, Function Bar, La Pallette, Jazz Bistro, and the Communists Daughter. Currently he is working as an elementary school music teacher with the Peel district school board.

Donovan has studied the tuba at Wilfred Laurier university where he earned a BA in arts and at Nipissing University where he earned his bachelor of education.

When he is not performing or teaching, Donovan can be found listening to records, curling, or practicing his brand new tenor banjo.

JACKSON WELCHNER DUO ft. ALEX PURCELL

Jackson Welchner is a freelancing vocalist, composer, and arranger based out of Toronto. Singer of jazz, classical, folk, and improvised genres, Jackson always strives to “serve the music”.

In March of 2023, he released his first full length jazz-fusion LP, “Blink Twice”. Starting the process in 2021, he fully composed, arranged, produced and mixed the album on his own, with features from Toronto’s best musicians, such as Patrick Smith, Anh Phung, Michael Davidson, Marito Marques, Sarah Thawer, and Thom Gill. He also arranged all of the string parts, performed by the Venuti String Quartet, as well as a 4 piece horn section. He was able to realize this project on physical vinyl records through generous grants from FACTOR, Ontario Arts Council, and Canada Council for the Arts.
