Codex is a Toronto-based band named after Leonardo Da Vinci's 15th-century manuscript on future inventions. Founded by Luca d’Addario at Skycrib Recordings Studios, the group blends futuristic rock, trip-hop, jungle, and jazz breaks. Featuring Luke Vajsar on bass/vocals and Avi Iyer on drums, Codex pushes musical boundaries. They were the first Canadian artists to independently release a rock+jungle vinyl, gaining international recognition with their self-titled debut on LA’s World Domination Recordings. Their work spans multiple releases and soundtracks, including HBO’s Sexbytes, blending avant-garde performances with forward-thinking sounds.
